My name is Leigh Burmesch and I am a senior at Loyola University Chicago, just a semester away from the so-called “real world.”  I am studying Communication as well as English and History.

As a college student with a kitchen and certainly no cafeteria meal plan, living on my own has forced me to become better acquainted with cooking.  However, I am by no means deeming myself a cooking expert.  In fact, I am far from it.  I thought I would write about my trials and tribulations as an amateur college cook.  Maybe I shouldn’t even be classifying myself as a cook, I tend to think of myself as more of a “cooking entrepreneur.”  With each post I’ll let you know what worked, what didn’t work, and the not-so-bad of my amateur cooking escapades.
